Scarlet-Tayla mainly offers a Bespoke service but also offers customisation and alterations on previously bought garments from other suppliers.
Bespoke
First of all if you are interested in having something bespoke get your ideas together and drop me a message, don’t worry about sounding odd for wanting what you want or for sending to much info, I’m more than happy to speak to any potential customers no mater how big or small there requirements are, if you have 30 pictures of things you like send them, if you have a fag packet with a sketch on take a pic and send it, the more info I can get from you about what you want the better (however if you're unsure that is also no problem, start by telling me a little bit and we can build on it, even if it’s “I’m getting Married/its my Prom etc, i’d love a bespoke dress/suit/etc, can i come and see you” the answer is YES, All the YESES!!!
Your first consultation with me is Free. At this consultation we will go through fabric and design ideas and I will produce a sketch of what you have described to me and give you a price (or rough quote if your not sure on fabrics). After the consultation you can go home and have a think about it (you are under no obligation to order) or you can order there and then.
When you want to order it can either be done at the 1st consultation or you can book to see me again. I will take all of your measurements and we will discuss fittings and Payment (Payments are not expected in full straightaway, they are arranged with each customer individually)
Once half of the full payment is received your fabrics will be ordered and you will be invited over for a first fitting. This fitting will be with a toile (a copy of your design in a cheaper fabric, usually calico) it is done this way to get the desired fit on the customer without wasting expensive fabrics. Occasionally there maybe a couple of toile fittings but not all the time.
At the next fitting your design will be made in your chosen fabrics, at this stage it won’t have linings and embellishments in case it needs slight alterations (this can happen sometimes as bodies change or you decide on diffrent underwear etc) once the fit is correct embellishments will be pinned into place so the customer can decide where they want it.
At the final fitting you will come and try your finished dress on and if you have finished making the payments on it then you may take it home with you.
Scarlet-Tayla can come and dress brides on their wedding day at an additional cost, if you require this service please ask when ordering.

Customisations & Alterations
I only take on a few Alterations and customisations each year, however If you would like customisation or alterations please contact me to arrange an appointment.
The price of Alterations and Customisations vary depending on what needs doing, it is always best to book an appointment with me to get the correct costing (these appointments are charged at £15 which is to be paid on booking, this charge will then be discounted from your work should you want me to go ahead, this payment is non refundable otherwise)
the amount of appointments needed depends on the style of garment and what you want doing, some will only need a first fitting and a final fitting, some may have 1 or 2 fittings in between also.
Payments on Alterations are required to be paid in full at the final fitting
Payments on Customisations are required to be paid along the way for any materials i use and then the balance at the final fitting
